Privacy Policy

Last updated November 5, 2026

This policy explains what Handyman Pro Estimate collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can access or delete it. It applies to the web app and our mobile builds.

1.Who we are and what this policy covers

Handyman Pro Estimate is estimating and invoicing software for handymen, contractors and small trade businesses. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app at handymanproestimate.com and its mobile builds, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Handyman Pro Estimate. "You" means the person who holds the account. If you use the app on behalf of a business, you are responsible for making sure your use complies with your own privacy obligations.

2.Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. Password handling is performed by our authentication provider; we never see your password in plain text.
  • Business profile: business name, phone number, address, website, logo, default labour rates, tax rate, travel fee and default terms you enter in Settings.
  • Customer records you create: names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and notes about the people and businesses you quote for.
  • Job and money records: estimates and invoices, job descriptions, tasks, materials, labour, photographs or signatures a customer signs on screen, payments you record by hand, deposits and notes.
  • Job templates and any message you send us through the contact form, feedback forum or support email.

3.Information created as you use the app

  • Usage counters we keep to enforce plan allowances, such as how many estimates you have created.
  • Technical records our servers keep for security and troubleshooting: sign-in times, IP address, browser and device type, and error logs.
  • Your preferences, such as the last screen you used and whether you have dismissed an in-app message.

4.Connected calendars

If you connect Google Calendar, you authorise us through Google's OAuth consent screen. We then create and read calendar events for the jobs you choose to add. We ask only for calendar-scope access and do not use it to read or build a profile of your personal calendar.

If you connect an Apple calendar, you provide your Apple ID and an app-specific password. That password is encrypted before it is stored and is used only to reach the calendar you nominate. Apple ID passwords themselves never pass through the app.

You can disconnect either calendar at any time from the calendar panel in the app or from your Google or Apple account settings. Disconnecting stops future syncing; events already copied into your calendar remain until you delete them there.

5.Payments and subscriptions

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and go to Stripe directly. We never receive or store full card data.

We do receive and keep the parts needed to provide your plan: your plan name, subscription status, renewal date, the amounts charged, the email address on the payment and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

6.Emails we send

We send account verification and password-reset messages, security notices, account-deletion verification codes, replies to support requests, and optional notices about new features or offers. Every message of that last kind includes a way to opt out, and opting out never stops essential account emails.

7.Cookies, local storage and tracking

  • We store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits, and small preferences such as a dismissed message.
  • We use a temporary session record while you move around the app's navigation.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or data brokers, and we do not sell personal information.
  • If we ever add product analytics beyond the usage counters described above, it will be aggregate and this policy will be updated first.

8.How we use information

  • To provide the features you ask for: creating, calculating, saving, printing and sharing estimates and invoices, converting an approved estimate into an invoice, and syncing jobs to your calendar.
  • To operate your account and plan, including verifying your email, enforcing plan allowances and processing subscriptions.
  • To keep the service secure: detecting abuse, rate-limiting a form, investigating errors and enforcing our terms.
  • To answer your support requests and to tell you about significant changes to the service.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

10.Who we share information with

We share personal information only as needed to run the service, and never sell it.

  • Service providers acting on our instructions: our application and database host (Base44), Stripe for payments, Google and Apple for calendar connections, and our email delivery provider. Each is bound to use the data only for the service they provide.
  • The people you share with: team members or administrators on your account, and anyone you send an estimate or invoice link or PDF to.
  • Legal requirements: when we are required to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the service.
  • A business transfer: if the business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of it, under this policy.

11.Your customers' information

The customer records you create are yours. We hold and process them to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact your customers and hold their details, and for the content of the estimates and invoices you send them.

If one of your customers contacts us about their details, we will point them to you, or assist them with access or deletion where you ask us to.

12.How long we keep information

  • Account, estimate, customer and template records are kept while your account exists, so the app keeps working for you.
  • After a completed deletion request, your estimates, customers, job templates, connected-calendar credentials and usage counters are deleted and your login is permanently removed, normally within 7 days of a verified request.
  • Invoice records are kept as financial records but are stripped of personal details (customer name, email, phone, address and signature) when the account is deleted, because tax and accounting rules require the amounts and dates to be retained.
  • Server logs and security records are kept for a short period, typically under 90 days, and then discarded or aggregated.

13.Your choices and rights

You can review and correct your business details and customer records at any time in the app, disconnect calendars, and export estimates and invoices as PDFs.

You can ask us to delete your account and its data without signing in, from handymanproestimate.com/delete-account, or from Settings while signed in. Requests are verified with a code sent to the account's email address, so nobody else can delete your data.

Depending on where you live, you may also ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or restrict it, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Write to support@handymanproestimate.com and we will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

If you believe we have handled your information unlawfully, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

14.How we protect information

Data travels over encrypted connections, calendar passwords are encrypted before storage, access to production data is limited to those who need it, and sessions can be revoked by signing out or by a password reset. No system is perfectly secure, so choose a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

15.Children

The app is intended for adults running a trade or contracting business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a child has created an account, we will delete it.

16.International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are made under recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

17.Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
